Caitlin Clark Praised for What She Did in First Game Since Injury
Caitlin Clark is the WNBA's most popular player, and her presence has changed the league almost overnight.
Clark's games with the Indiana Fever are routine sellouts across the country, with some teams even moving their games to larger venues to accommodate the massive crowds.
Fans at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis have the chance to see Clark several times a year, but she wasn't in the lineup on Wednesday for their game against the Washington Mystics in Baltimore.
Despite being out with an injury, Clark was spotted before the game, taking photos with fans and signing memorabilia.

Fans leaned over the railing with jerseys, T-shirts, trading cards and more as Clark continued to sign.
The Fever announced that Clark will be out for at least two weeks with a strained left quad. The team says that she will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Head coach Stephanie White said that she wasn't sure exactly when Clark suffered the injury, but noted that the Fever star said she felt pain in her leg after a game against the New York Liberty over the weekend.
After undergoing an MRI to check on the severity of the injury, the team ruled the strain would hold her out for two weeks. Following the announcement, White noted that playing without Clark would give the team a chance to move through adversity.
"It's a great opportunity for our team to find an identity, it's a great opportunity for our team play in a different way," the first-year head coach said.
"I also think it's a great opportunity for Caitlin to watch the game from the sideline and to grow almost a coaching mind and mindset and see some different things that we may be talking about on film, addressing in practice, to see it develop in live action."
Wednesday's game will be the first that Clark will miss in her career due to injury, and the first she will have missed since her record-setting career at Iowa.
The Fever are off to a 2-2 start to the season, and they'll look to move past .500 on the early part of the season without their best player on Wednesday night.
