ATX TV Festival brings big name stars to Austin
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- What's considered the leading TV festival for both fans and the industry as a whole is happening in downtown Austin through Sunday.
The annual event takes place each summer in Austin. It brings together fans and industry insiders to celebrate television.
The festival consists of events like screenings, panel conversations and plenty of parties.
If you're a fan of television, this event was made with you in mind.
As you can imagine, the event has changed a lot in the 14 years since it began.
"Viewing habits and the advent of streaming, people are watching in vastly different ways," said co-founder Emily Gipson. "The kind of casual conversation around television has changed so much and that's what we love about the festival."
There are some big names. Seth Meyers opened the festival on Thursday evening. Other stars set to make appearances include Christine Baranski, Zach Braff, Jon Hamm, Jon Slattery, Carrie Coon and Joel McHale.
There are still single tickets available to some events. To purchase tickets, check out the festival's website here.
