Summer SPACtacular raises thousands for the arts, arts education
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Hundreds of people filled the grounds of the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Friday to ensure the future of arts education and more in the Capital Region.
The third Summer SPACtacular kicked off the summer season at SPAC and is a major fundraiser to bring artists like the New York City Ballet and Philadelphia Orchestra to the area as well as educational programming that reaches thousands of school children in the Capital Region.
$220,000 was pledged during the paddle raise. On Sunday, the grounds will be filled with hundreds of students participating in the Adirondack Trust Company Festival of Young Artists.
