Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s daughter has come under fire, dividing fans. (For those who don’t know, Garner and Affleck welcomed three children named Violet, born on Dec 2005, Seraphina, born on Jan 2009, and Samuel, born on Feb 2012.)

In photos obtained by Hola, their daughter Violet was seen chauffeuring her grandmother, Christopher Anne Boldt, out to lunch together. While this seems like a normal lunch, people noticed two major things: how she’s driving her mom’s $60,000 electric BMW and wearing a vintage Y2K-era Marc Jacobs purse, which can go for anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. (She also made headlines for wearing a vintage Chloe Marcie Bucket Bag that goes for around $1000.)

While many fans love seeing her live her best life, others see it as a bit hypocritical, especially after her now-viral essay calling out the environmental harm caused by the privileged. It called out many wealthy people, including her own family members, per Yale Global Health Review via Mercury News.

(According to Celebrity Net Worth, her parents have a combined net worth of over $230 million, and they are definitely on the richer side.)

She wrote, “I was surprised at her surprise: As a lifelong Angelena and climate-literate member of generation Z, my question had not been whether the Palisades would burn but when.”

Per Hola, many found it rather strange since she often wore more modest clothes, and voiced her criticism of the wealthy. And now, she’s driving pricey cars and wearing expensive bags. But to be fair, the car is her mom’s, and the bags could be gifts from her family.
