Ozzy Osbourne Has Huge Plans Following Final Black Sabbath Show
Ozzy Osbourne plans to cap off his long-awaited final Black Sabbath show with… a fan appearance? In July, the legendary rocker, 76, will appear with his family at Comic Con Midlands, according to Kerrang.
The Osbourne patriarch, his wife, Sharon, and kids, Jack and Kelly, will be special guests at the convention at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC ) in Birmingham, England, the week after Osbourne performs the Back To The Beginning concert with Black Sabbath. Comic Con Midlands runs July 12-13 in the Osbournes’ hometown.
Tickets to see the Osbournes will be available “soon,” a teaser for the event promised.
News of the appearance is a bit of a surprise given Osbourne’s recent comments about how his declining health has impacted preparations for his final show. The singer, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2003, recently revealed on Sirius XM's "Ozzy Speaks" that he will give “everything [he’s] got” for the final concert.
“By hook or by crook, I am going to make this f---ing gig if it is the last thing I do. Well, it will be,” the “Iron Man” singer said. “I will have done the show and died a death before I even started my exercises ... but all I can say is I’m giving 120 percent. If my God wants me to do the show, I'll do it."
The Back to the Beginning concert will take place at Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham on July 5. Osbourne will reunite with his Black Sabbath bandmates, bassist Geezer Butler, guitarist Tony Iommi, and drummer Bill Ward for the first time in 20 years for the landmark concert. The show will also serve as Osbourne’s final live performance ever.
