Clint Eastwood's Son Says Dad Is 'Doing Good' Despite Girlfriend's Death

Despite being decades her senior, Eastwood suffered the sudden loss of Christina Sandera in a tragic way last July. She died first.
Eastwood turned 95 years old on May 31, 2025. Sandera died of a heart attack. She was only 61.

However, Eastwood's son noted that his dad doesn't complain.
"He was born coming out of the Great Depression, and then he was young during World War II. He saw a lot of struggle," Scott told People on June 2.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sandera and Eastwood had dated for a decade at the time of her death.
“Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much,” Clint Eastwood said in a statement to THR when she died.
Sandera's cause of death was "cardiac arrhythmia, which is an abnormality in the timing or pattern of the heartbeat," the New York Post reported.
They met while she worked as a hostess at a hotel and restaurant that Eastwood owned in California, the Post reported. They went to several movie premieres together over the years but generally kept their relationship private even though it dated back to 2014, the news site reported.
Meanwhile, Clint Eastwood denounced quotes attributed to him by an Austrian newspaper named Kurier, which were released around his birthday.
