Police investigating fatal officer-involved shooting in SE Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Oklahoma City Police say they're investigating after a suspect was killed in an officer-involved shooting Wednesday morning.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers responded to the area of SE 59th St. and Bryant Ave. to serve a sex crimes-related warrant.
"It was around 6 o'clock this morning when investigators were serving a search warrant at a residence." said MSgt. Gary Knight with OKCPD. "As officers were serving this, the suspect fled out the back door of the residence, led officers on a foot chase, he was armed with a pistol at the time."
During the chase, the armed suspect was confronted by an officer which led to the shooting. The suspect was pronounced dead on scene.
No other injuries have been reported.
