Student flats in Finland nearly full as demand surges
Student flats across Finland are nearly full, with the occupancy rate climbing to a record 97 percent last year, according to data released by the Finnish Associations of Student Housing Organisations (SOA).
This is the highest occupancy rate recorded since tracking began in 2016. The figures reflect a continuing trend: student housing has become increasingly scarce each year since the COVID-19 pandemic, as both enrolment numbers and financial pressures on students have grown.
