Iconic ‘70s Rock Band Heart Offers Reward for Stolen Instruments
Members of the rock band Heart are offering a reward for the return of prized instruments that went missing ahead of their show at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City.
Billboard reported that two special instruments were stolen the night before the kickoff of the band’s 2025 summer An Evening With Heart tour at the New Jersey venue.
A press release and photos of the missing items were posted on Instagram on June 3. The missing pieces include a “custom-built, one-of-a-kind purple sparkle baritone Telecaster with a hand-painted headstock” that was custom-made specifically for veteran guitarist Nancy Wilson. A“vintage 1966 Gibson EM-50 mandolin” that bandmate Paul Moak has used for over 25 years was also taken, per the press release.
Wilson said the band members are “heartbroken” over the loss and are asking for their return with “no questions asked.” The award amount was not specified, but the rock legend said their value to the band is “immeasurable.”
Anyone with information on the missing equipment is asked to contact Heart’s tour manager, Tony Moon via his email.
Herat was formed in Seattle in 1973. The band, which features Wilson and her sister Ann on vocals, became known for their radio hits “Magic Man,” “Barracuda,” “Crazy on You,” These Dreams,” and “Alone.”
The An Evening With Heart summer tour runs through July in cities across the U.S. and Canada. The special concerts are described as “a unique two-set performance each night with no openers”. The tour also celebrates Ann Wilson’s return to the stage following her recent cancer treatment.
