$45K in CDPHP Workforce Challenge proceeds presented to local non-profits
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The 2025 CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge raised $45,000 for local non-profits, and the money was distributed to Unity House and Girls on the Run Capital Region on Wednesday.
Unity House will use the funds to support their free traveling summer camp for kids ages 6 to 12. The organization said limited funding had restricted the field trips they were able to provide, but they will now have opportunities to expand the children's exposure to art and science.
Girls on the Run will expand programming to 10 new sites in areas with high rates of childhood diabetes. The new sites will provide programming to a minimum of 100 girls and 30 volunteer coaches.
Organizers said over 8,300 people took part in this year's race.
