Popular Kansas Brewery Announces Closure, Goodbye Party
After five years in business, a Kansas brewery is shutting its doors later this month.
Pathlight Brewing, which opened in 2020, announced on social media Wednesday that it will be closing down.
"It’s with heavy hearts we announce the closing of Pathlight Brewing," the announcement reads. "This decision wasn’t made lightly, and we are overwhelmed with a mix of gratitude, pride, and loss as we reflect on the past five years.
"Pathlight’s mission was about more than just brewing exceptional beer - it was about creating an inclusive space where this craft could spark community connection. New friendships were forged as patrons and staff bonded over everything from barleywine to Formula 1. This was the vision, and Pathlight nailed it."
For those interested in a sendoff, Pathlight also revealed it will be holding a goodbye party on June 20--which also happens to be its fifth-year anniversary.
"To our incredible staff: Thank you for bringing your heart and hustle to every shift. This was more than just a brewhouse and taproom. You made Pathlight a home," the brewery wrote. "To our patrons, collaborators, neighbors, and friends: Your support helped build such a vibrant space, and it couldn’t have been done without you. Thank you for not only walking this path with us, but for lighting the way."
Pathlight currently offers more than a dozen beers on tap, plus a variety of ciders, wines, cocktails and non-alcoholic options.
You can find the brewery's hours and other information on its official website if you're trying to make a stop there in the next two weeks before it closes.
