1 airlifted to Albany Med after motorcycle accident
BERNE, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A motorcyclist was airlifted to Albany Medical Center Wednesday night after an accident. According to the Gallupville Fire Department, the accident happened near 1256 State Route 443.
The fire department said they were dispatched alongside the Scho-Wright ambulance, Schoharie County Paramedic and the Schoharie County Sheriff's Office, around 7:40 p.m. Upon arrival, a single person was found unconscious.
Shortly after, a LifeNet helicopter was launched to the scene. Scho-Wright crews then transported the injured victim to the Berne Town Park, where the helicopter was waiting.
According to the fire department, the victim sustained critical injuries in the crash. The department said they did not have an update on the motorcyclist.
