Dave Portnoy Says He Hopes Greta Thunberg's Boat Gets Hit With a Missile
Dave Portnoy says he hopes Greta Thunberg is the target of a missile strike.
The 48-year-old Barstool Sports founder made the comments about the 22-year-old climate and humanitarian activist on The Unnamed Show podcast in an episode that aired Wednesday (June 4), hosted by Kirk Minihane and Ryan Whitney.
The episode began with a debate about anti-Semitic jokes, with Dave saying certain speech goes beyond humor and can inspire real-world harm.

“I do think words matter,” he said during a heated exchange with one of the hosts.
“You just can’t make jokes that incite hate. We’ve seen what that leads to.”
But later in the conversation, he mocked Greta’s involvement in a humanitarian mission to Gaza, per Mediaite.
Greta is currently sailing on Madleen, operated by activist group Freedom Flotilla Coalition, which departed from the Sicilian port of Catania, in southern Italy. The group aims to deliver aid and draw international attention to Gaza, and includes activists from around the world.
The boat is carrying medical supplies and aims to break through the Israeli naval blockade that has restricted goods and travel in and out of Gaza since 2007. He ridiculed Greta and her mission.
After one of the hosts joked that Jews control the media, Dave said they were not doing a good enough job.
“It is crazy, though. If we’re being honest, this is also in my holster. Jews control the media. It’s like, well, we’re not doing a good job of it right now. You’re f–king it up,” he said.
He concluded, “I’ll jump on Greta van Thorsten or whatever that girl’s – she’s sailing there. Like whoever that f–k – and I hope they hit a f–king like a missile on her boat. Knock that boat down. Greta or whatever her name is.”
