Sam’s Club’s New Sundae Takes on Costco’s Famous Treats
Sam’s Club just dropped a new food court item that’s already drawing buzz from fans, and it's got a price tag that might make Costco nervous. The Member’s Mark Peaches & Cream Sundae, voted in by members on social media, is now available for a limited time at Sam’s Club Café locations nationwide.
Just in time for summer, the sundae features layers of the retailer’s frozen yogurt swirled with bakery caramel dip. It’s topped off with a Member’s Mark Peach Cup and a sprinkle of the store’s Honey Almond Granola, delivering a flavor profile reminiscent of peach pie à la mode...and, of course, summer. And at just $1.58, it’s hard not to be tempted.
The sundae beat out a strawberry option in a recent vote posted to Sam’s Club’s Instagram, continuing the brand’s trend of letting shoppers have a say in seasonal food court releases. Allrecipes reported that earlier this year, members helped choose sundaes like the Santa’s Milk and Cookies and the Be Mine Choco-Strawberry, each sticking around just long enough to create cult followings.
Not everyone is sold on the current offering. Some fans say it’s a creative use of in-store ingredients, while others wish Sam’s had gone the extra mile with fresh fruit or spiced peaches. Still, the store’s practical, all-in-brand approach makes the sundae easy to recreate at home. All you have to do is grab a tub of Member’s Mark vanilla ice cream and the same toppings from your local club to create a similar taste.
Sam’s Club hasn’t said whether the sundae will return later in the season, but for now, you’ve got all of June to give it a try. Whether you’re a frozen yogurt loyalist or just hunting for a refreshing bite on the cheap, this might be your new favorite excuse to swing by the café.
