Fast-Growing Restaurant Chain Golden Chick Announces New Location. With Major Change
A fast-growing restaurant chain that first launched in 1967 announced a new location - but this one will be different than the previous 106 iterations.
On Thursday, June 5 Golden Chick announced its 107th location is coming to the Dallas-Fort Worth area with an "all-new restaurant prototype giving guests the flexibility to enjoy their favorite chicken restaurant any time of day." The new location will be the first ever Golden Chick to be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The new restaurant offers both walk-in and drive-thru options for guests to order, features an all-new restaurant design created for picking up Golden Chick’s full menu. It also features a new digital drive thru menu and kitchen designed to "expedite third party orders from DoorDash, UberEats and other services."
Joseph Omobogie, one of Golden Chick’s most senior franchisees who has opened 14 restaurants, will be running the new location.
“Joseph is truly one of our biggest franchisee success stories and his growth over the past two decades has been nothing short of inspirational,” Brian Loescher, president of Golden Chick Franchising said in a statement. “Our team has had a focus on how we can elevate our locations and create new experiences for our guests when dining with us. Joseph is helping bring that vision of our brand to life with our newest prototype.”
In 1989, Golden Fried Chicken was purchased by the Parmerlee family and the chain has experienced steady growth approaching 200 locations across 5 states, according to its website. The company eventually rebranded as Golden Chick in 1993.
