'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Star Brit Eady Sues Bravo Over Explicit Photo Drama
After it was revealed that the 37-year-old insurance agent skipped the season 16 reunion of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, it has been reported that Brit has filed a lawsuit against the network over the explicit photo drama.
Keep reading to find out more…If you forgot, while filming the season last year, fellow cast member Kenya Moore displayed posters at the opening of her salon of what appeared to be Brit engaged in a sexual act. The stunt got Kenya, 54, fired mid-season.
In the lawsuit filed on Thursday, June 5, and obtained by TMZ, Brit claims that Bravo “falsely yet unmistakably implied” that she was the one in the photos. After skipping the reunion taping, Brit wrote on Instagram that she is not the person in the photos.
Brit went on to claim that Bravo knowingly “contributed to a hostile work environment” and sexually harassed her by subjecting her to “unwelcome, offensive, and sexualized behavior and comments” by requiring her to show up to work after she experienced, what she calls, a “gendered attack.”
She filed the lawsuit against Bravo, parent company NBCUniversal, and its production companies, Truly Original and Endemol Shine North America, claiming they knowingly misled the public. The suit alleges defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, sexual harassment and more.
Brit is now asking that Bravo immediately remove the episode from public access and is seeking $20 million in damages.
Brit - who just joined RHOA for season 16 – isn’t the first Real Housewives star to sue Bravo. Nene Leakes filed a lawsuit against Bravo and NBC in April 2022, alleging that they fostered and tolerated a hostile and racist work environment. The suit was dismissed two months later.
Then in 2024, former Real Housewives of New York City star Leah McSweeney, who has struggled with alcohol and drug addiction, filed a lawsuit against Bravo and Andy Cohen accusing them of “intentionally planning scenarios intended to exacerbate [her] disabilities” to “create morbidly salacious reality television.”
Brit Eady wasn’t the only RHOA star to not attend the season 16 reunion taping.
