The Panthers and Oilers meet again this year following a tight Finals match-up in 2024 that saw the series go all the way to Game 7. Florida ultimately pulled off the win, their first-ever Stanley Cup. It's safe to say that the Panthers, who hold a 47-31-4 record this season, are looking to add a second trophy to their collection. The Oilers, who went 48-29-5, have five Stanley Cups, the last of which came in 1990.
Edmonton won Game 1 with a 4-3 final score, but only after the match-up went into overtime. Florida led the first period with 2 goals and then scored their final goal in the second period. The Oilers, meanwhile, scored one goal in every period, including OT, which ultimately led them to victory. Game 2 will once again take place in Edmonton, before the series heads to the States for the next two games.

The entirety of the Stanley Cup Finals, whether the series lasts for four or seven games, will air on TNT in the United States.
