Coomer v. Lindell Update: Coomer’s Attorneys Submitted an Affidavit in Separate Lawsuit About an ANTIFA Conference Call

As the lawsuit against Mike Lindell proceeds in federal court in Colorado, an interesting development occurred during this morning’s testimony.

Eric Coomer, the former Director of Product Strategy and Security for Dominion Voting Systems, is suing Mike Lindell, MyPillow, and FrankSpeech for defamation, among other things, alleging that Lindell spread a false story about “Eric from Dominion” on an Antifa call, a claim made by podcast host and former tech CEO Joe Oltmann.  Oltmann claims that “Eric from Dominion” told a group of about 20 people on the call that “Trump won’t win, I made f***ing sure of it.”

During Oltmann’s direct examination, Coomer’s attorney pressed him on the existence of the call.  Oltmann has long held that the call did occur but has refused to turn over the source that invited him on the call to corroborate the claim.  He is currently being held in contempt in a separate case for refusing to disclose that individual.

As the direct examination came to a close, counsel’s last question to Oltmann was, paraphrased, ‘There was no call, was there?  You made the whole thing up!’ according to Ashe Epp of Badlands Media and Colorado Free Press, who is attending the trial.

However, this morning during cross examination, an affidavit submitted by Coomer’s attorneys in a separate case in Denver’s district court could legitimize Oltmann’s claim and the existence of this call.

Lindell’s counsel reiterated that Oltmann was the only one who could corroborate the phone call.  However, Oltmann responded that this is not true.  There is an affidavit from Tay Anderson, a former Denver Public School Board member who was removed from the board for sending “flirtatious” messages on social media to a 16-year-old girl.  Anderson claims he stopped messaging when he learned her age, but he was censured in a 6-1 vote, according to 9news.com.

After a 10-minute recess to discuss the affidavit, Lindell’s counsel continued questioning Oltmann about it.  Oltmann said he received a pretrial order in a separate case last night that contained Anderson’s affidavit.

Oltmann testified that Anderson was an antifa member and a BLM organizer against police brutality.  He was organizing protests for Breonna Taylor and scheduled a conference call for September 25, 2020 on Zoom with about 20 activists.  These details are in Oltmann’s handwritten contemporaneous notes regarding the call.

Lindell’s attorney noted that it does not confirm Eric Coomer was on the call and says that the affidavit states there was no ‘Eric from Dominion’ on the call.  However, this is a stark contrast to yesterday’s questioning in which plaintiff claimed there was no call.  In fact, there was a call and it is being presented as evidence in another case on Coomer’s behalf in another case in Denver.

On redirect, Coomer’s attorney argued that it can’t be the call Oltmann was referring to because the people weren’t visible on Zoom, and that Anderson was describing a different situation.  They also claimed that Coomer was not on that call, according to the affidavit.

However, Oltmann’s contemporaneous notes he said were taken during the call matched the topics that Anderson described in his testimony, specifically Breonna Taylor protest arrangements and Joey Camp,  well-known antagonist to Antifa who’s infiltrated their marches in the past. .

Perhaps Oltmann just got really lucky in the phone call they alleged didn’t exist.
