Bend-area estate previously listed for $6.3 million now headed to 'luxury auction'
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A swanky estate in Central Oregon is headed to the auction block later this month.
The Miami-based Platinum Luxury Auctions has scheduled the sale of a 20-acre Tumalo property for Friday, June 20 at 6 p.m. The estate, dubbed the “Mountain View Ranch” was previously listed for $6.3 million — but it will now go to the highest bidder.
"The Bend marketplace has been steadily evolving into a preferred destination for substantially wealthy buyers coming from some of the west coast's premier markets, such as Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles," Platinum Luxury Auctions Founder and President Trayor Lesnock said. "This property is perfect for those looking to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty and amenities of Bend, while still being within a short distance of the heart of the city."
The 7,300-square-foot, two-story property holds seven full bathrooms, one half-bathroom and six bedrooms — some of which real estate agents could utilize as an at-home gym, movie theater or art space. The residence also includes a kitchen with a walk-in pantry and balconies that offer several views of the Cascade Mountain Range.
Mountain View Ranch was constructed in 2014 by Craig Johannesen, whose work includes multiple medium-to-large-scale residences throughout Central Oregon, according to Platinum Luxury Auctions. Bend’s Kirsti Wolfe Designs is behind the oversized windows, roomy living areas and other interiors in the home.
Outside of the main residence, the property features a three-vehicle garage, a 5-stall barn and space for barrel racing. It is located about 10 minutes away from Bend’s downtown area.
The auctioning company is offering previews of the property through Thursday, June 19.
