Summer heat hits Oregon, except along the coast
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The heat is on. Portland will see its first 90 degree temperature of the year Sunday as an area of high pressure builds over the Pacific Northwest.
Expect wall-to-wall sunshine with a few passing high clouds. Temperatures will top out in the mid-90s in the Portland metro area.
If you are looking for some relief to the heat, you should head for the coast. Temperatures there will be in the mid-60s.
Expect the heat to continue again on Monday with temperatures back up into the lower 90s. A cooling trend is on tap later in the week when temperatures will cool back into the 70s by Wednesday and remain there through Friday. There is no rain in sight over the next 7 days. The dry weather continues.
