NBA Star Victor Wembanyama Turns Heads With Appearance Change
Victor Wembanyama is getting into the NBA offseason in a way you wouldn't expect.
As part of his offseason activities, Wembanyama visited a Shaolin Temple. It's possible, likely even, that the San Antonio Spurs star is the tallest monk in the history of the world.
The 7-foot-3 Frenchman, who missed the final two months of the regular season with blood clots, fully embraced the experience, shedding his normal haircut for a fully-shaved look.
The change in appearance has caught NBA fans by surprise. Wouldn't it be something if Wemby carried over the bald 'do for the 2025-26 season?

The 2023-24 NBA Rookie of the Year and runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year, Wembanyama was averaging 24.3 points. 11.0 rebounds and 3.8 blocks per game when his season came to a sudden end following a diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder.
Wembanyama returned to lifting weights in April and recently worked out with fellow Frenchman and 2025 NBA Draft hopeful Maxime Raynaud.
"There's many more things than surgery when you go to the hospital for a blood clot," Wembanyama said in April. "We're taking our time and I'm neither late or early [in recovery], but it's a process and there are definitely steps for me to reach. At the time, I definitely didn't know [the extent of the condition]. But looking back I did feel a certain way. I wasn't in the best shape ever at the All-Star Game. By no means was it easy to learn and process.
"I think I did and I'm still doing the best we can do, taking care of my body and trusting the incredible work of the medical staff. I'm sure it's something I'm going to use to grow and be better."
A fully healthy and spiritually enlightened Wemby is a dangerous thing for the rest of the NBA.
