Comedian Stuns Podcast Hosts With Best State in U.S. Pick
Stand-up comedian and reality TV host Bert Kreischer has traveled all over the United States. With that said, there's one particular state that he prefers over the rest.
During an appearance on the "Drop A Pin Show," Kreischer boldly proclaimed that Ohio is the greatest state America has to offer. Not only does he love the "big cities," he believes the people are very understanding as opposed to other states.
"I think Ohio is the greatest state in the Union. I argue that because I've traveled everywhere," Kreischer said. "It's topography is gorgeous. It's the perfect political place to be where they get your personality - they welcome everyone but they're not lunatics. You get weather, you get on the water. No state has the big cities that Ohio has - they've got big cities. I think it's the best state in the Union."
Kreischer's opinion of Ohio has received mixed responses on social media. There are plenty of "Drop A Pin Show" listeners who find his take to be absurd. On the other hand, there are people who find Ohio to be "a beautiful state."
"Horrible take. It’s Wisconsin going away," one social media user replied.
"I think it’s extremely annoying you both got condescending about it as if he’s crazy. It’s a beautiful state with amazing cities and the nicest people in the country," another social media user commented.
According to U.S. News & World Report, Utah is the best state overall. New Hampshire, Idaho, Minnesota and Nebraska round out the top five as of this June. Ohio, meanwhile, is ranked 38th overall.
