The Lucy Unitard (left) is one of the brand's most-loved styles and has been seen on celebrities like Emily Ratajkowski and Kourtney Kardashian.

When I found out I was pregnant, I knew I'd have to do a closet overhaul — replacing those restrictive jeans and dresses with stretchier and flowier pieces that can accommodate my changing body. But I made a pact with myself: I refused to buy shapeless, sack-like maternity dresses I'd never wear again postpartum. I was proud of what my body was doing, and darn it, I wanted to show off the bump — not hide it. Enter: Bumpsuit, a line beloved by celebs everywhere from Emily Ratajkowski and Chrissy Teigen to Miranda Kerr and Kylie Jenner.
Bumpsuit was founded by an Australian supermodel who was inspired to break away from the "aged and traditional idea of maternity dressing." While the line is known for (and named for) its sleek, stretchy jumpsuits, it offers a wide range of products from shower-ready dresses to workout leggings, sports bras, and cozy lounge sets. The best part? All of these pieces will still fit post-pregnancy, meaning you'll get lots more wear out of them.
Admittedly, Bumpsuit isn't exactly a budget line — with the exception of intimates, most items run from $68 to $225. So, are they worth the splurge? Here's my take, after testing some of the line's top-sellers.
The Lucy Maternity Unitard

The Lucy is Bumpsuit's best-selling flagship product — and with good reason. It's comfy, flattering, and never goes out of style. The buttery double-lined brushed jersey fabric, which features four-way stretch, definitely lived up to the hype, and I loved that I could wear my favorite bras underneath thanks to the wide shoulder straps.
Also worth mentioning? This unitard is nothing if not versatile. I've worn it while taking a Pilates class, running errands, grabbing coffee with a friend, and even attending casual family hangs. It looks just as cute on its own as it does layered under a shrug, hoodie, or oversized concert tee. After my baby is born at the end of the summer, I can imagine styling this into the fall with cropped sweaters and boots.
Cotton Cloud Crop Tee + Cotton Cloud Pant
Rebecca Strong/Business Insider
Since I work from home and have been spending a lot of weekends doing random housework and preparing the nursery, I basically live in loungewear — and I can't resist a matching set. (It makes me feel just a tad more put together when I'm in my comfies.) So, I was really excited to try this ultra-popular relaxed-fit set, which has sold out in multiple colors again and again. Made with 92% cotton and 8% spandex for just a hint of stretch, these pieces had a high-quality feel right out of the packaging. Against my skin, they felt lightweight, airy, and oh-so-soft.
The oversized tee is slightly cropped to show off the bump, and I could definitely see pairing this with other leggings or even maternity jeans. (I became such a big fan of this tee that I ended up ordering it in black during Bumpsuit's Memorial Day sale.)
The Cloud Pants, meanwhile, can be mixed and matched with other tees and tanks as well — and due to the adjustable drawstring waistband, these fit me all through my second trimester into my third, and will undoubtedly still work beyond pregnancy.
I really appreciate that the Cloud Pants are designed to be worn low-slung — under the bump right on the hips — which I personally find more comfortable than a higher-rise over-bump alternative. Honestly, my only complaint with this set is that the Cloud Pants run really long: To put things into perspective, I'm 5'4 and they drag on the floor by several inches. That said, I fortunately realized that the waistband can be folded over, so if I roll it over several times that solves the issue.
Bianca Dress
Rebecca Strong/Business Insider
On my tireless quest for a baby shower dress, Bumpsuit's Bianca dress quickly became my top choice. I knew it was a dress I'd feel good celebrating in, even with my 30-week pregnant belly. Plus, it's cute enough that I can also wear it on date nights post-partum.
The Bianca is made from the same impossibly soft signature Bumpsuit fabric as the Lucy Maternity Unitard. Even though it's a body-hugging style, I didn't even really have to worry about panty lines since it's double-lined for added coverage and support.
When I need an instant confidence boost, I slip on the Bianca. It fits like a glove, and the fold-over off-the-shoulder neckline is so elegant and flattering that I didn't even mind having to wear a strapless bra with this one. For more dressy occasions, I'll pair this one with open-toe mule kitten heels and statement earrings. I also plan to dress it down with flat strappy sandals and a denim jacket.
The 2 in 1 Maternity Maxi Skirt + Maternity Cami
Rebecca Strong/Business Insider
I wear a tank top or cami almost every day during the warmer months — I run hot, so they're my go-to for sleeping, as well as lounging around the house before and after work.
But I found that most maternity tanks didn't fit me well at all. Because they're cut to have plenty of room for even the largest bumps, they tend to be awkwardly long on my torso, and I'm not a fan of the side ruching many of them feature.
However, this Bumpsuit Maternity Cami is just long enough that it can cover my belly, but not so long that I won't be able to wear it after my baby is born. It's seamless, flattering, double-layered for extra coverage, and feels supportive without being too tight or restrictive.
The possibilities are endless here: I've paired it with workout leggings, jeans, and skirts alike. My favorite way to wear it, though, is with Bumpsuit's 2 in 1 Maternity Maxi Skirt.
IMO, pieces that can be worn multiple ways are excellent investments — they're also great for traveling since they can save space in your suitcase while offering multiple outfit options. This particular product can be worn as an over-the-bump maxi skirt or pulled up and worn as a midi tube dress. I've tried and loved it both ways. For more casual occasions, I'll pair this skirt with my cami and sneakers — but I've also paired it with heels and a silky cropped blouse for dinner dates and parties.
Cindy Maternity Romper
Rebecca Strong/Business Insider
Knowing I'll be in my third trimester during sweltering July and August, I figured the Cindy Maternity Romper might come in handy. I love the idea of a romper — it has all the comfort of my go-to jumpsuits and unitards but is more practical for the hotter months. But unfortunately, most products like this that I've tested just don't fit quite right on my slightly curvy but short frame. The shorts tend to be too long on my thighs, resulting in an awkward look, or the torso is too long, causing the crotch to droop. Luckily, that wasn't the case with The Cindy.
This romper features wide straps, which allow me to wear supportive sports bras and make me feel secure while I take power walks or exercise on the Pilates reformer. When I'm not working out, I like styling this romper with leather slide sandals and an open, oversized white linen button-down.
