Six injured, including one in critical condition after shooting in downtown Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – At least six individuals are injured including one person who is in critical condition after a shooting in downtown Columbus early Saturday morning.
The Columbus Division of Police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of South Ludlow Street and West Town Street around 3:30 a.m.
Police have confirmed at least six people were shot, including one person who is in critical condition. Multiple other individuals faced injuries not related to gunfire in the incident, according to the department.
While the shooting took place about a half-mile away from where the Pride parade is set to start at 10:30 a.m., police said the shooting is not related to the event. Both police and Pride's organizers have said the parade will continue as normal.
The police department has not yet shared further information.
