Police ID Third Avenue homicide victim in Albany
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- There was a homicide on Third Avenue in Albany on Monday morning, per police. The Albany Police Department has identified the victim as Prince Cureton, 32.
Police responded to the 100 block of Third Avenue near Sloan Street around 12:50 a.m. on Monday for reports of a shooting and when they arrived they learned a 32-year-old man was being taken to Albany Medical Center for a gunshot wound. Officers found the man at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Cureton was pronounced dead at the hospital on Monday. The Albany Police Department asks anyone with information to contact the Detective Division at (518) 462-8039.
