The World's 10 Best Airlines, According to New Rankings
The world's top airlines were recognized at the 2025 World Airline Awards on Tuesday at the Paris Air Show.
For the ninth time, Qatar Airways was named the "World's Best Airline" at the ceremony dubbed "The Oscars of the Aviation Industry."
“Being named the World’s Best Airline for the ninth time is an extraordinary honor," said Qatar Airways Group CEO Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer. This recognition is far more than an award, it is a celebration of the passion, precision and purpose that defines who we are as an airline. To retain this title in a highly competitive and ever-evolving global industry reflects the relentless efforts across every part of the business, from the frontline to behind the scenes, the passion and commitment of our people continue to set new standards in aviation."
This year's rankings were determined by the results of an online passenger satisfaction survey conducted between September 2024 and May 2025.
Over 325 airlines were featured, with customers from over 100 countries offering their feedback.
“We welcomed back a large number of previous winners and were also delighted to see new faces and airlines represented here today," said Edward Plaisted, the CEO of Skytrax, which organizes the independent awards show. "As is indicated by so many former winning airlines being awarded again, quality consistency is clearly well recognised by customers when they vote for these airlines.”
Qatar Airways also took home the titles of World’s Best Business Class and World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge. Singapore Airlines, which finished second in overall airlines rankings, won World’s Best Cabin Crew and World’s Best First Class.
