One dead after northeast Columbus shooting
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Columbus police are investigating an overnight shooting in North Linden after one person died from their injuries.
According to a CPD dispatcher, one person was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a shooting was reported in the 1400 block of Oakland Park Avenue, near the E.Z. Oakland Park Plaza.
The shooting was reported at 1:04 a.m. and the hospitalized victim, who remains unnamed at this time, was later pronounced dead at around 2 a.m.
Police do not yet have any suspects, and the area of Oakland Park Avenue and Medina Avenue is closed off while the investigation continues.
