15-Year-Old Girl Missing for a Year Found Alive
A 15-year-old Pennsylvania girl who had been missing for a year has been found alive, and now a 32-year-old man has been arrested as a result.
Acting on a tip, police in High Point, N.C. responded to an address in the 2000 block of Treyburn Lane on Monday. Officers had been told the teenager, who was reported missing by her family in Reading, Pennsylvania last year, might be living at the address.
Upon arriving, they discovered the missing youth and arrested Joseph A. Rossomando, 32, of High Point after finding him in possession of child sexual abuse material.
"During the investigation, detectives spoke to the victim and executed a search warrant at the home, where they seized several electronic devices," High Point Police said in a social media post.
Rossomando was booked on seven counts of statutory sex offense with a child under the age of 15 and seven counts of statutory rape of a child less than 15.
He was also charged with felony human trafficking of a child victim, felony sexual servitude of a child victim, felony second degree sexual exploitation of a minor, felony statutory rape, felony first degree kidnapping, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Rossomando is currently being held at Guilford County Jail without bond.
"Had never really noticed out of the ordinary down this way, but definitely a little bit unsettling, you know, having younger kids, you know, and not really thinking anything like that would really kinda come up in this neighborhood," one of Rossomando's neighbors told ABC45.
