Hulk Hogan’s Rep Breaks Silence on Deathbed Rumors
Hulk Hogan is not on his deathbed, despite internet rumors that sent fans into a frenzy this week.
The WWE icon's rep confirmed that while the 71-year-old was recently hospitalized, there's "no reason to panic."
Speculation began when YouTuber Bubba the Love Sponge claimed during a livestream that Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, was seriously ill and might not make it.
The claim quickly went viral, prompting concern and confusion among wrestling fans and pop culture watchers alike.
But according to Hogan's rep, the wrestler had a routine neck surgery that was successful, and his current condition is stable. "He's had problems with his back for years," the rep told E! News, “but there’s no emergency."
Hogan himself has previously shared just how much his body has endured.
Speaking on Jake Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast last year, he admitted to undergoing about 25 surgeries in the past decade alone.
"Ten of them were back surgeries," he said. "I've had both knees and hips replaced, shoulders — everything."
The health scare comes less than two years after Hogan married Sky Daily in 2023.
The rumors are also circulating amid ongoing family tension with his daughter Brooke Hogan, whom he shares with ex-wife Linda Hogan. Brooke recently posted about her strained relationship with both her parents, noting that her problems with each of them were separate.
While Hogan hasn't commented publicly on the family issues, his focus appears to remain on recovery and privacy.
His rep also previously told TMZ in May that the procedure was a "little fusion surgery," and reiterated that the surgery had gone well.
Despite years of surgeries, setbacks, and rumors, the former wrestling champ is still standing. Hogan's condition isn't nearly as dire as some online chatter suggested.
For now, fans can rest easy. The Hulkster isn't going anywhere.
