1. Multiple injured in Grafton shooting
The New York State Police is investigating after multiple people were injured in a shooting on Wednesday. The incident took place around 6:40 p.m. on South Road in the town of Grafton.
2. Amsterdam Animal Hospital closing in July
After more than 40 years in business, the Amsterdam Animal Hospital will permanently close on July 31.
3. Best of Capital Region lacrosse honored
The Empire North Lacrosse Association hosted senior all-star games for the best seniors in boys and girls lacrosse in the Capital Region. They also honored multiple award winners, including the USA Lacrosse All-Americans.
4. Copake man charged after police chase across multiple counties and states
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a Copake man after a reported pursuit that spanned multiple days, counties, and states. Michael Faranda, 53, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt.
5. NYS lawmakers discuss changes to security protocols
State lawmakers could see changes to security protocols, after that alarming killing of Minnesota State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband. Legislators and security officials discussed new security measures for their families and staff.
