$18K raised for Parkinson's Foundation by Market 32/Price Chopper
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Market 32 and Price Chopper stores raised $18,970 for the Parkinson's Foundation by selling Freihofer's products. According to the grocery store, with every purchase, five cents was donated by both Market 32, Price Chopper stores and Freihofer's Baking Company.
The donations were collected between April and May. Every dollar raised will help the Foundation's mission of finding a cure for Parkinson's and improve care for those affected by the disease.
"We at the Parkinson’s Foundation are thrilled to have partnered with Market 32, Price Chopper, and Freihofer’s Baking Co. again this year," said Adrienne Casano, Parkinson’s Foundation regional director, northeast. "We can’t thank them enough for their spirit of generosity and lending their reach to raise awareness and fund crucial services for the Parkinson’s community in the Northeast and New England."
A check was presented to the Parkinson's Foundation Tuesday in a ceremony at the Clifton Shoppers World Market 32, where staff members and company leaders celebrated the impactful donation.
"Market 32 and Price Chopper are grateful for the culture of giving and unwavering support of our trade partner, Freihofer’s, and our communities," said Pam Cerrone, Market 32 and Price Chopper director of community relations.
