Netflix Reality Star Sara Burack's Tragic Death at 40 Results in Woman's Arrest
The death of Million Dollar Beach House star Sara Burack resulted in an outpouring of grief from her friends and fans.
Now there's been an arrest.
Amanda Kempton is a Virginia woman who is accused of the hit-and-run death of the Netflix reality star, according to the local outlet Dan's Papers and the New York Post.
Kempton, 32, was charged on June 20 on allegations she left the scene "of a motor vehicle accident that resulted in a fatality in the death of Sara Burack. The charge is a vehicle and traffic law class D felony," Dan's Papers wrote.
The tragedy occurred in Hampton Bays, NY, according to People, which reported that Burack was struck "in the alleged hit-and-run on Thursday, June 19, at approximately 2:45 a.m." She was discovered lying injured on the road, Greater Long Island reported.
The site called Burack a "well-known Hamptons real estate broker."
The star was "found unconscious on Montauk Highway near Villa Paul Restaurant," People noted.
Burack described herself on social media as "Real Estate, Development, Hospitality, Media, Influencer. As Seen on Netflix, Bravo, HBO, Discovery." She wrote that she was a real estate agent and broker for Nest Seekers International, although Dan's Papers reported that she no longer worked there at the time of her death.
