Some New York beaches reopen, others remain closed during hot weekend
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- As New Yorkers face an extreme heat watch throughout the five boroughs, some may be looking to cool off at local beaches, however, residents may want to double-check what's open before heading out the door.
Some New York beaches remain closed for a second day due to stormwater runoff and high bacteria count in the water.
The following beaches in New York remain closed for Saturday.
