Saudi Arabia and Oman Condemn US Airstrikes on Iran’s Nuclear Sites

Saudi Arabia and Oman have strongly condemned US airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites, warning that these actions escalate tensions.

Oman and Saudi Arabia have condemned the recent U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, warning that such actions threaten regional stability.

In an official statement released on Sunday, June 22, Saudi Arabia emphasized that it is closely and cautiously monitoring the recent developments. The kingdom urged all parties involved to exercise restraint and prevent the escalation of tensions that could widen the scope of the conflict across the region.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry further stated that at this critical stage, the international community must play a constructive role in finding a political solution. It called for joint efforts to restore security and stability to the region through dialogue and cooperation.

Oman, which previously hosted nuclear talks between Iran and the U.S., urged all parties to return to diplomacy and emphasized the need for dialogue to prevent further escalation in the region.

Qatar also voiced concern over the deteriorating situation. The Qatari Foreign Ministry warned that continued hostilities could have serious implications for security across the Middle East.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi strongly condemned the attack as illegal and dangerous. Speaking to IRNA, Araghchi warned that the U.S. would face “long-term consequences” for its actions.

The strikes, carried out overnight by U.S. B-2 bombers, targeted nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The extent of the damage is still under assessment, and international observers fear further retaliation

Regional tensions were already high before this incident. These strikes may provoke retaliation and draw other states into the conflict, risking a wider war.

With the United Nations and the European Union urging restraint, diplomats believe the only way to reduce tensions is to restart talks. Immediate diplomatic engagement could help prevent further destruction and maintain regional security.
