Experts Are in Agreement on Best Strawberry Ice Cream in 2025

Summer is here, which means it's time to stay cool. What better way to do that than by enjoying some ice cream?

There are hundreds of ice cream varieties available from countless companies, but some flavors are just more classic than others, with strawberry being one of them.

Of all the different brands of strawberry ice cream available to consumers, one stands out above the rest, according to a recent study by Simply Recipes. Stella Totino of Simply Recipes reached out to three experts to determine the best strawberry ice cream on the market, and all three came to the same conclusion.

“My go-to is Häagen-Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream,” said Shawna Clark, the creator of Healthy Foodie Girl. “It’s a classic for a reason."

Both Pinch and Swirl's Marissa Stevens and nutritionist Mackenzie Burgess were in agreement with Clark.

"It has just the right balance of sweetness and tang, with pieces of real fruit and a clean finish with no waxy aftertaste," Stevens said of Häagen-Dazs' strawberry offering.

Burgess cited the simplicity of Häagen-Dazs' strawberry ice cream recipe, which consists of only five ingredients--cream, skim milk, strawberries, cane sugar, and egg yolks--as another reason why the brand is best. 

Häagen-Dazs is an American-born company, but the brand's Canadian website says its strawberry ice cream "blends sweet strawberries with real cream to deliver an elevated treat from pure ingredients."

"Real strawberries are the focal point of every bit," the site claims.

Of course, there are plenty of other strawberry ice creams available at grocery stores. Do you agree with these experts about Häagen-Dazs being best? If not, which brand deserves the title?
