Angel Reese Had Incredibly Classy Reaction to Making All-Star Game
Once again, Angel Reese is a WNBA All-Star. On Sunday, the Chicago Sky forward was named one of the reserves for the upcoming summer showcase.
Reese has now been in All-Star in each of her first two seasons in the W. Coaches pick the reserves after starters are voted in by fans, players and media, and the WNBA sideline leaders chose Reese as one of 12 bench players announced this afternoon.
It looks like Reese was at practice when she found out the news. The Chicago State of Mind Sports X/Twitter account posted video of the Sky in a huddle at midcourt learning about Reese's selection.
When the news is announced, the team can be seen erupting in celebration. As for Reese's individual reaction, she shared some of it on X/Twitter, crediting her teammates with helping her get selected.
"Individual awards are team awards! Wouldn’t be able to do this without them!" Reese wrote alongside the video.

Reese, who was one of two rookies to play in the All-Star Game last year, is the Sky's lone representative this summer. The former No. 7 overall pick is averaging 12.4 points and 12.6 rebounds per game.
Last Tuesday, Reese was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for Week 4 after she averaged 19.7 points, 17.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.7 blocks in three games between June 23-29.
The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game is set for July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Captains Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier will draft their teams during ESPN's "WNBA Countdown" this Tuesday.
The other eight starting players are Aliyah Boston, Clark's teammate in Indiana, rookie No. 1 overall draft pick Paige Bueckers of the Dallas Wings, the New York Liberty duo of Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu, Las Vegas' A'ja Wilson, Atlanta's Allisha Gray, Seattle's Nneka Ogwumike and Phoenix's Satou Sabally.
