1. Multiple shootings in Albany on July 4, no arrests made
Albany Police Department Chief Brendan Cox, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan, and Albany County District Attorney Lee Kindlon announced that 10 people were shot in Albany on the evening of Friday, July 4. Cox said no one is in custody for the shootings, and preliminary investigations are ongoing.
2. Clifton Park photographer moves forward with global fundraiser
In March, NEWS10 introduced you to Clifton Park-based pet photographer, Amy Zounes. She was looking for dog models, after being selected as a contributing photographer for ‘Tails of the World,’ an international book fundraiser. NEWS10’s Cassie Hudson caught up with Zounes to find out how the project is going.
3. Saratoga Springs bike park pump track opens
The city of Saratoga Springs has opened part of its three-phase bike park. According to city officials, the first stage of the park consisted of a $400,000 pump track, which opened to bicyclists on June 30.
4. Man sustains serious injuries after shooting in Troy
A man sustained serious injuries after a shooting in Troy Sunday night. According to Troy Police, officers found a male with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
5. Hundreds of youth athletes compete in major cricket tournament in Schenectady county
One of the biggest youth cricket competitions in the U.S. has brought about 500 youth cricket players from all across the United States and Canada to Glenville, New York this week.
