Arby's Rolls Out Ordering Kiosk at Some Locations
Arby's is making a pretty significant change to its restaurant experience, but those changes will only impact a select few of its locations – at least for now.
In recent years, self-order kiosks have become the norm for many fast food restaurants around the country, allowing customers to order their own food on a screen without having to speak to a cashier.
Despite the increasing popularity of these kiosks, Arby's had never embraced them. However, the beloved roast beef chain is embracing the new technology now – at least for some of its locations.
While it's a major change, the new ordering kiosks will only be available in Arby's locations inside Love's Travel Shops, a chain of truck stops and gas stations located all across the United States.
Regardless, it's a pretty significant move for Arby's and Love's that will help bring more options to its customers, especially those traveling.
“These kiosks empower customers with more control, faster service and a more personalized interaction with the brands they love, reinforcing Love’s commitment to putting the guest experience first,” said Nick Bouse, director of food service for Love’s, in a statement this week.
“This technology doesn’t just improve the guest experience – it transforms our operations. By streamlining the ordering process, our team members can dedicate more time to food preparation, optimizing the customer experience and driving loyalty,” said Joe Cotton, vice president of food service for Love’s. “It’s another way Love’s helps customers get back on the road quickly.”
If this rollout goes well, there's obviously a chance that Arby's could look to add an ordering screen to all of its locations. For now, however, it will be limited to these specific travel locations.
