Novak Djokovic's Wife Jelena Gushes About Him on Social Media
When Jannik Sinner commented that the best tennis players in the world have wives and kids, he surely meant, at least in part, tennis legend Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic's marriage to steadfast wife Jelena Djokovic is well-known, as she is frequently seen at his matches, cheering him on from the stands.
It's his 20th Wimbledon.
Jelena Djokovic makes it clear how much she loves her husband, positively gushing about him. Many of her posts are family-focused.
For example, she posted a photo showing her birthday with her family around her and a homemade cake. They all, including Novak Djokovic, wore yellow cone birthday hats. "The one where Jelena celebrates her birthday, and Tara makes her a cake ????❤️," the caption read.
"Dads are champions ????????," she wrote with another post, tagging Novak. In May, she posted about a Novak victory.
According to US Weekly, Novak and Jelena were high school sweethearts who met in the early 2000s.
"Us getting together was like science fiction almost,” Jelena told Hello! magazine in 2023. “I was a student barely getting by, and he was a very young tennis player who also had no money to spare on expensive trips. Airplanes were, at the time, something utterly out of our reach. We contrived and devised these plans how to meet, how to make our relationship work.”
In 2024, she posted a series of throwback photos and videos showing her with Novak and wrote, "Ten years of joy, Ten years of dreams, Ten years as islands, Ten years as streams. Ten years as parents, Ten years as one, Ten years of dancing, Ten years of fun. Ten years of yoga, Ten years we stretch, Ten years of dogs, Ten years go fetch."
Many of her posts deal with the Novak Foundation, which the couple founded to help kids in Serbia. "Catching up with my man ????????????????????☺️❤️," she wrote with a photo showing her biking with Novak.
"GOLDEN BOY from SERBIA ????????????????????????," she wrote.
The couple married in 2023 and have two kids.
