Popular Disneyland Ride Gets Big News After Two-Month Closure
The Matterhorn Bobsleds have become a popular ride at Disneyland since it opened in June of 1959.
The ride goes through the Matterhorn Mountain with two different tracks that provide spectacular views of the park while also zigging in and out of the mountain.
Unfortunately, Matterhorn Bobsleds closed on May 8, 2025, due to refurbishments and general maintenance.
When it initially closed, Disneyland offered no timetable for when it would open.
Now, the date has been set, and it will reopen on July 24, 2025 according to the park's official website.
After the news was revealed, fans were excited, especially those whose trips aligned with the reopening of the ride.
"Let's gooooooo, that's right before my upcoming trip," one fan wrote on Reddit. "Yeah! That's my last day there!" replied another.
"Let's gooooooo, that's right before my upcoming trip," said another. "Nice! Going to be there August 2nd," stated another.
The Matterhorn Bobsleds is a unique attraction at Disneyland. This ride has not been made at any other Disney theme park globally, so the only place to ride it is in California, making it even more of a destination for guests coming from out of state to visit the park.
So, after a close to three month closure, the ride is set to reopen.
