This Fan-Favorite Snack Brand Just Made a Big Change That Shoppers Have Been Waiting For
You asked for it, and now Cheez-It is finally delivering. The popular snack brand just quietly made a huge announcement on social media and it's in regards to something fans have been begging for.
A stitched video shared on Instagram by Cheez-It shows a clip of @philhatesgluten, an influencer known for being gluten-free, demanding that the cheesy crackers be made in a gluten-free variety.
"This is a message to Cheez-It. Make it gluten-free. Do it. It doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to be something," said @philhatesgluten.
And the second part of the video features the big reveal from the snack brand: gluten-free Cheez-Its.

And let's just say that fans of Cheez-It aren't taking the news lightly. In fact, one user on Instagram was so excited about the new gluten-free option that they promised to buy well over a dozen boxes for a friend who hasn't had Cheez-Its in nearly a decade.
"The SECOND these are on the shelves, I’m buying fourteen boxes for my best friend omg she’s going to be so excited!! She hasn’t had cheez its in almost ten years ????????????," they wrote.
There were dozens of other similar comments from people ecstatic about the gluten-free Cheez-Its.
"IT HAS BEEN 16 YEARS OF SUFFERING AND IM FINALLY FREE, one of them wrote.
"Thank heavens oh sweet lord I believe in god," another person chimed in.
For Cheez-It, the decision to go gluten-free was one that was largely motivated by requests from fans.
"We’ve been hearing from fans who have had to transition to a gluten-free diet, as well as fans who have never been able to snack on Cheez-It for many years," the company said in a statement. "We’ve been hard at work to make sure we had the best recipe and process to bring the same iconic, cheesy, crunchy, salty, delicious flavor Cheez-It fans crave to those who have missed us."
There is a bit of less than savory news regarding the release of the gluten-free Cheez-Its, and that has to do with the release date. The new offering won't hit shelves until next year, but we're sure it'll be well worth the wait for many people.
