West Coast Modern Week runs July 8-13, 2025
West Coast Modern Week is running July 8-13, 2025. The annual celebration of West Coast Modernism, a distinct architectural style with deep roots in West Vancouver, includes talks, parties, and a tour of architecturally significant homes.
Since the first West Coast Modern Home Tour in 2006, more than 70 unique architectural gems have been celebrated, including original mid-century and contemporary architect-designed homes in West Vancouver.
The Taylor Residence, designed by Daniel Evan White, is one home that is being highlighted this year. This home is known for being a “bold architectural feat that embraces its wild terrain.” Architect Daniel Evan White placed this home at its most daring point, where water plunges over a cliff to meet the ocean ends and air begins.
This year, there will also be tours of the Rayer Residence, designed by Barry Downs and Fred Hollingsworth, 1964, Forrest-Baker Residence, designed by Ron Thom and Dick Mann, 1962, Montiverdi Estates, designed by Arthur Erickson Architects, 1979 to 1982, and Eastwood-Seth Residence, designed by CBK Van Norman, 1954.
West Coast Modern Week 2025 will take place from July 8 to 13, 2025.
The Home Tour will be followed up by an After Party at the Eagle Harbour Yacht Club. Tickets for the After Party are sold separately.
