How to help Texas flood victims from New York
NEW YORK (PIX11) — Flash floods that swept through Kerr County, Texas, over the weekend killed at least 82 people and left dozens missing, according to officials.
With more rain and flood risks expected Monday, countless homes and lives have either been disrupted or destroyed in central Texas as crews search for the missing.

GoFundMe
There are dozens of verified fundraisers for families, businesses, individuals and communities on GoFundMe. Fundraisers vary from covering funeral costs to donating in the effort to rebuild homes filled with water after the floods.

Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country
The Community Foundation, a public charity in central Texas, is accepting donations to provide to organizations providing relief and recovery efforts in Kerr County.

Donations are also being accepted by mail at 241 Earl Garrett Street, Kerrville, Texas 78028.

Austin and Kerrville Pets Alive!
Emergency volunteer search and rescue groups have been going up and down the Guadalupe River banks to look for animals to pull into Austin and Kerrville Pets Alive! locations.
APA!'s biggest need currently is donations to support the displaced animals, according to the organization.

World Central Kitchen
The non-profit World Central Kitchen, which provides meals for communities impacted by natural disasters, has been on the ground at multiple restaurants and complexes in central Texas since July 4, the organization said on social media.

Salvation Army
The Salvation Army Texas Emergency Disaster Services has operated out of a Kerrville Walmart parking lot since Thursday to assist with handing out food and drinks, blankets, clothing and pet supplies.

American Red Cross
The American Red Cross opened two reunification centers for families and loved ones, as well as several emergency shelters for those seeking refuge, according to a social media post.
American Red Cross is not taking donations specifically for the event in central Texas, the organization said.
