Aldi Shoppers Are Comparing This ‘Awesome’ $6 Summer Snack to a Nostalgic Dessert
Leave it to Aldi to deliver some delicious summer foods. While shoppers are running to grab the grocer's $8 cut of lamb or $20 lazy Susan set, they're also keeping their eye on stocked sweet treats. The Season's Choice Pomegranates are just $6, and customers are likening them to "nature's Dippin' Dots."
Remember Dippin' Dots? It's the mouth-watering ice cream treat that you would enjoy on hot days at a baseball game, the beach, or virtually any day you were craving a refreshing, sugary dessert as a kid. Now, as adults find their way to healthier lifestyles, they're finding new, budget-friendly ways to snack in a similar manner.
The unsweetened pomegranate seeds are advertised to be "great for baking and smoothies," but it seems that TikTok users are eating them right out of the freezer.

"I bought these too, they are really good," one commenter said. Another was hesitant on the $6 price point, but shoppers insisted it's a great deal. "Pomegranates are expensive in general, and this is pretty worth it! They don't go bad!," one customer contested.
Prices may vary by state, but the 24-ounce bag is currently $6 on Aldi's website. "Honestly though, I've spent more on coffee full of junk," the TikTok video creator wrote. "This I can eat for a healthy snack—six times at least."

This Aldi find has been around since at least July 2024, with one Facebook post deeming the pomegranate offering as "super affordable," with loads of "vitamin C and K, fiber, and potassium."
The "awesome snack" also found its way to Reddit last year. The pomegranate seeds were out of stock just a few weeks after the customers' initial purchase, so if that's presently the case for your nearest store, just know that a similar version of the treat is available at other select grocery stores (such as Pavilions, Walmart, and Albertsons). You can also order the seasonal Aldi item on Instacart.
