Applications open for 2025 Pittsfield Citizens Academy
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) -- The city of Pittsfield is inviting people to apply for the upcoming Citizens Academy. The 12-week program is designed to help community members understand the operations of local government.
Participants will interact with department heads and other city staff to learn about the day-to-day operations. The sessions will be held between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursdays between August 14 and November 6 at various locations throughout the city. Class size is limited to 25 people.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, live or work in Pittsfield, and be able to attend each session to the best of their ability.
Applications are due July 25 and can either be completed online or by mail. Anyone with questions can contact the mayor's office at (413) 499-9322.
