Targeted shot fired investigation underway in Hudson
HUDSON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Hudson Police announced on Monday that an investigation is underway into a gunshot incident. The occurrence took place on June 30 near Front and Warren Streets.
Last Monday, officers responded to the area just before 1 a.m. after receiving a report that a single shot had been fired in the vicinity. A resident at a nearby apartment told police that they had heard a collection of people yelling from a local housing complex shortly after the gunshot was heard, and that a group in dark clothing was later seen near a local business on North Front Street.
Police searching the area recovered no firearms, and no injuries were ever reported. Detectives returning to the scene the next day located one bullet casing near the area of Columbia and Front Streets, and investigators currently believe the incident was a targeted act.
Hudson Police stated that no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active. Anyone with information is asked to contact Hudson PD by calling (518)828-3388 or the department's tip line at (518)828-9900.
