Man’s friends chase down driver who struck him in NJ hit-and-run: police
NEWARK, N.J. (PIX11) – The suspect in a Newark hit-and-run got into a fight with the victim’s friends early Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
Police said it happened on Park Avenue just after midnight. A man was struck by a car and the driver fled the scene, according to authorities.
Police said the victim’s friends, who were walking with him at the time, chased the driver to Garside Street.
A fight then broke out between the friends and the driver, according to authorities.
Police said the driver was able to escape for a second time.
The victim was taken to a local hospital but refused medical attention, according to authorities.
