Angel Reese Breaks Silence on Smacking Clipboard Out of Coach's Hand
Angel Reese got a little too fired up on Tuesday.
In the final minute of the Chicago Sky's 81-79 loss to the Washington Mystics, a clearly frustrated Reese smacked the clipboard out of an assistant coach's hand as she walked off the floor.
Reese, who caught some flak from fans as the clip went viral, took to X on Tuesday night to address the situation.
The Sky star revealed she tried to apologize to the assistant (and we'd assume the clipboard) and promised it wouldn't happen again.
"Those **** were pissing me off," Reese wrote. "Shoutout to Ann because she know it was the heat of the moment and she didn’t let me apologize because she knew! Not happening again (though)."

We can't say for sure what Reese censored there, but it sure looks like it's "refs," which comes as no surprise after she was quite outspoken about lackluster officiating recently.
Following Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Lynx, Reese was upset with the discrepancy in the number of free throws and said the officiating "has to be fixed."
She also took to X with two separate posts, one of which showed a clear foul on her that was not called.
Reese is just a drop in the ocean of those who both play in and follow the WNBA that have a problem with officiating. It's the thing that bonds us all.
