Model Fuels Jannik Sinner Girlfriend Rumors Amid Wimbledon
The No. 1 seed in the men's Wimbledon tournament moved on to the quarterfinals without winning a set this week.
Jannik Sinner doesn't count the "victory" as a win, though. "I don't take this as a win, at all," Sinner said. "This is just a very unfortunate moment to witness for all of us."
The No. 1-seeded Sinner hadn't dropped a set in the tournament until falling behind No. 19 Grigor Dimitrov 6-3, 7-5. At 2-all in the third set, Dimitrov stopped playing after he was left clutching his chest after a serve.
Before Dimitrov left the match, it was Sinner who looked a bit shaken up and later revealed he suffered an elbow injury. Sinner's coach, ESPN analyst Darren Cahill, did not have an update on the MRI results when interviewed during the ESPN broadcast of a match between Carlos Alcaraz and Cam Norrie.
"We did go out to the indoor courts and just fed balls (to him) for 20-30 minutes, just to feel the ball," Cahill said. "He's going to be OK, it was just nice to get on the court -- it's impossible for him to take a day off."
Sinner will face off against American phenom Ben Shelton, who is attempting to make the third semifinal of his young career. Before he takes the court, though, Sinner's name is being mentioned along that of a Danish model after rumors of a burgeoning romance were revealed.
Laila Hasanovic previously dated Mick Schumacher, the son of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, though the couple appears to have split. In a video on TikTok published July 8, Hasanovic posted a video suggesting she's "letting go" of something.

"Maybe you have to let go of who you were to become who you will be," said a voiceover on the video.
Hasanovic was previously spotted at Wimbledon during one of Sinner's earlier matches.
