Rachel Zegler's 'Evita' Drops Two Recordings of 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina' - Studio Version & Live From the Balcony!
Rachel Zegler is currently singing “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” live from a balcony in London eight times a week and now fans around the world can listen to the official recordings!
Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s latest production of Evita just dropped two versions of Rachel’s rendition of the beloved song.
There’s a studio recording and also a “live from the balcony” recording!
Rachel is leading the West End revival of Evita, directed by Jamie Lloyd, and she has earned rave reviews for her performance. The director decided to have Rachel exit the theater and stand on a balcony to perform for people on the street during “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina,” mimicking the action actually happening in the show. Audience members inside the theater watch a live recording on a giant screen on stage.
